Ritual cleansing and purification in a saltwater bath are recommended to cleanse the energetic body and ensure physical, mental and spiritual balance. Bathing is a deeply healing and sacred ritual that weaves together intentions, water therapy and plant medicine. Ancient cultures knew the benefits of bathing to be vast — relieving pain, improving circulation, strengthening immunity, deepening relaxation and inspiring romance.

CREATE A BEAUTIFUL OPENING & CLOSING FOR YOUR CONSCIOUS RITUAL BATHS

OPENING

  • Open with an intention. Tidy up your bathroom and clean your bathtub.

  • Fill the bathtub with water at your preferred temperature.

  • Place 2-3 tablespoons of salt blend into the bathtub and allow salts to dissolve. For easy cleanup, use the muslin bag provided by placing ingredients inside it and putting the bag directly into the bathtub.

  • Feel free to add flowers and petals if you desire.

  • Swirl the water clockwise to activate it and focus on your intention. Add the crystal in to infuse.

  • Smudge the space and yourself with your favorite herbs, like palo santo, cedar, white sage, sweetgrass (etc.) and visualize white light surrounding your space.

  • Light candles around to make the space feel grounded and turn off any overhead lights.

RITUAL

  • Light up an incense stick on a burner that is flameproof and is meant for the purpose.

  • Immerse yourself into the bath and bring awareness to your breath. Take a few deep breaths: Inhaling through the nose, exhaling through the mouth. Relaxing the jaw.

  • Be here now…in the space of your intention. Focus on all the sensations you are experiencing: the smell of the space, the water on your skin, the beauty of herbs and petals floating around you. Now is the perfect time to pause and relax your face, shoulders, belly and ankles….

  • Connect to the energy of the water and receive its wisdom. Immerse in the medicine, and enjoy the mind, body & soul benefits. Soak in the ritual you’ve created.

  • Ask for the release of any energy you no longer wish to carry, or that is no longer for your highest good.

  • Bathe until the incense stick finishes for approx. 20mins minimum.

CLOSING

  • When finished, carefully step out of the tub. Put a robe on or air dry (if you feel like dancing around your living room). If you prefer to towel dry, gently pat with nurturing care.

  • Drain the water and collect flowers and herbs from the bathtub (or from muslin bag) and save it as an offering to a nearby tree or plant.

  • Place your crystal on a windowsill to dry and re-charge in the sunlight / moonlight.

  • Close with gratitude by blowing out the candles, releasing your intention out to the universe. Don’t rush as you lovingly clean up your bathtub and tidy your bathroom.

NOTE: All of the above are just guidelines and suggestions. You may want to change / remove or add your own essence and create your own version.

HEALTH AND SAFETY: For precaution, if you have open wounds or just had surgery, we do not recommend immersing the wounded area in a bathing ritual.
