Palm inhalation connects us to our breath and brings us into the moment. When practiced with intention, it is a simple yet profound way to soothe our emotions and inspire motivation. The physical and psychological effects of inhaling a purposeful scent are immediate and lasting. The esoteric heart center lives in the center of the chest and the hands are an extension of the heart, so palm inhalation is an authentic form of self-care.

CREATE A SIMPLE AND IMPACTFUL SELF-CARE RITUAL OF RECEIVING SCENTS FROM YOUR HANDS

RITUAL

  • This ritual can be practiced at any time of the day. It is a powerful tool to ease stress or tension bringing you back into alignment with yourself. Select a scent that supports your intention. We love Blue Lillie Intention Oil and only use pure essential oils to calm the nervous system, connect with our bodies and open us up to frequencies of love, harmony and healing.

  • Place 3 droppers full to the palm of your hands before gently touching your palms together.

  • Rub hands together, activating the blend through heat.

  • Cup palms in front of your face without making contact.

  • Close your eyes and take three slow deep breaths, inhaling the scent, allowing its aroma to fill you, to ground, to clear and activate your senses.

  • Lower your hands to exhale freely.

  • Repeat as desired – focusing on your intention while inhaling and tapping into what your mind, body and spirit require.

  • Then apply the oil to your face, body or hair, feeling gratitude for the divine temple of your body.

It’s important to use only pure essential oils for this ritual. Fragrance oils are synthetic versions of the oil and cannot deliver the same benefits. When inhaled, the scent molecules in essential oils travel from the olfactory nerves directly to the brain and impact the amygdala, which is the emotional centre of the brain.

NOTE: All of the above are just guidelines and suggestions. You may want to change / remove or add your own essence and create your own version.

HEALTH AND SAFETY: For precaution and to avoid irritation, we do not recommend exposing any open wounds on your palms to essential oils or scents.
